"Warning - Very Fragile, Not water resistant and Tag Heuer may not honor warranty."
UPADATED after 2nd call from Tag Heuer:

I have owned my Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E3 a little over 1 year. I went swimming in the ocean to a depth of 9 meters. The watch face exploded upon returning to the surface and Tag Heuer refuses to fix under warranty.
This seemed odd, so I Googled the internet for reviews of Tag Heuer watches and warranty repairs.
The first site that appears is Complaintsboard.com. There are 195 reviews. Almost every review of Tag Heuer is 1 star. The second site to come up is Trust Pilot.com with 309 reviews and 93% are 1 star.

Since this incident I have reviewed literally hundreds of Tag Heuer reviews online. I could not find one positive review of Tag Heuer service or warranty. There are many dozens of instances describing where Tag Heuer has not honored warranty for seemingly invalid or insignificant reasons. Many people quite upset with Tag Heuer quality, service and warranty.

My story, I returned my E3 Connected watch to Tag Heuer for repair. It was still within warranty period. The watch had a little wear and tear and normal aging. And there was absolutely no visible damage to the watch before swimming. I swam to a depth of 9 meters and when I returned to the surface the face of the watch had exploded. They claim that that a small barely visible 1 mm “dent” on the watchband lug voids the limited warranty and would require over $700 to repair.

After seeing other reviews online apparently any tiny barely visible scratch or “dent” is typically enough to void the “limited” warranty.

They sent me a photo of the barely visible 1mm “dent” which could easily be caused if the watch were to accidentally lightly rub against a hard surface during “normal wear”.
The “dent” is so small that it could have happened at the Authorized Dealer before I even purchased the watch and it wouldn’t have been noticed.

Galen at Tag Heuer service was telling me that any shock, if it occurs in just the right location and direction, can be transferred to the internal working and break this watch. Apparently there is zero shock resistance and it can only be worn if protected by a fluffy pillow at all times.

This watch has a warrantee to 50 meters depth. However after talking to Galen at length on the phone they could not commit to honoring that part of warranty without examining the watch first and they do not recommend diving with this watch. I talked to my local watch repairman who said it is obvious that the lug “dent” is would not be the cause of the leak!
He said that the most likely cause, as is the case with most “water resistant” watches, is that one of the rubber seals in the buttons or crown was worn out and leaked. It appears that the pressure from the water built up inside the watch when I was diving at 9 meters depth and when I returned to the surface the internal pressure caused the ceramic bezel to crack.

Tag Heuer should not be perceived as a luxury watch maker, misrepresentation makes me furious therefore out of principle, I will make efforts to post an honest review and inform potential customers.

I also sent a copy of this review to Galen at Tag Heuer to let him verify accuracy. I will post his reply when I receive it.

"WARNING - Poor after sales service"
WARNING - Couldn’t be more disappointed with my $5000 Tag Heuer purchase. 100m waterproof watches that can’t be worn in the shower! What a joke, I won’t be buying watches here in the future. After having this defective watched repaired one, it failed again. This time they want $600 to fix it and won’t accept a return. I’ll be raising my issues with Fair Trade Queensland.

"Tah Heuer Service scam"
I had a TH Carrera 1887 purchased years ago from an AD. The watch worked fine and was serviced by TH 2 years ago. Returned with 2 years warranty.About a year ago the seconds hand of the chronometer failed to reset to zero.Watch returned to TH service under warranty and the issue solved. The watch worked flawlessly and was kept in a watch winder when not in use.I own 24 watches and do not abuse any of them.The watch started to stop working intermittently in the last three months.I brought it to the AD ( Deutsch&Deutsch) and they sent it back to TH service been under warranty to be checked up. I received yesterday the information that the warranty is not valid because TH service reported that the watch had water in it and this voided the warranty. TH wanted $1200 in order to repair it.How is this possible? The watch is certified at 100m waterproof, but I never used it in water or shower. The watch was kept in a dry medium ( El Paso) and the only persons that open the watch was TH service!. The AD called me back after my complaint and told me that now TH service want only $600 to repair it. Is this scam service or a very dishonest company? I refused to pay for it and told them to keep the watch in their museum as a proof of their poor service and incompetence. This is the worst service I ever encounter and TH should be ashamed of it.It looks that the person that worked on the watch last time was negligent and the result is water trapped in the movement. However they will not recognize their own failure.

Paid 4500£for a Carera well overpriced for the quality of time keeping.....Took it back to the shop. They ask me for extra 600£ because it went out of balance while in warranty. It is a joke. I will never buy Tag or recommend to someone.

"E4 unfit for purpose"
Bought my E4 in December 2023. What a mistake!! The biggest piece of crap considering the price you pay. Battery life, golf app and finding satelites to use apps are all pathetic. There are approximately 7 golf courses in my area and only one of them is available in the app. When I want to walk or bike, the watch cant find satelites. I told Tag the watch is not fit for purpose and they refuse to take back the watch and refund me. They obviously dont care.

"Overpriced, less features, downloads wipe the watch clean and now removed google pay.."
I was gifted a Tag Heuer E4 connected watch at Christmas from my wife. New update came out which I downloaded this week. The update wiped my watch clean. Had to put in all details again. Then without knowing the wear is app is now not needed, not told by the way. Then tried to put the Google pay but does not work. I went to the Tag Heuer boutique and they told it it is now not available. For a watch that you pay at least double compared to Apple of Samsung the features are even less than they previously were. Very disappointed and I advise people not to spend this money on a E4 and buy an apple or Samsung with more features and half the cost that does not wipe your watch clean with an update. Very disappointed Tag and would like to know what you are going to do about the downloads and also the Google pay? Rubbish!

Well owned tag watches for years....yes destroyed them .used at work ....bought a new unit before the warranty expired the manual winder went funny sent it in for repair ... Came back didn't feel right went back to shop ...was reasured by sellers that it's ok ....took watch back under repair warranty again ....and they told me it's my problem so $880 approx to fix it ...so threw it in the draw at home ..don't buy this brand substandard

"Just crooks"
Just crooks! Sent my Carrera watch in for a repair, they told me it had let water and it was going to need a new movement, crown, face, hands and would cost £1200!! Just thieves!! I had it back took it to my local jeweler who repaired it pressure tested it and polished it all for £45 and it's perfect! Absolute crooks!! Don't touch them with a bargepole!

Salesman told blatant lies regarding the Calibre e3 watch - apparently if I bought one I'd have to take it to Bicester to charge it! Also we were told over the phone the e3 was in stock, when we arrived none were available anywhere? Tried to do the hard sell on a completely different watch, so didn't listen to his potential customer. Also lacked product knowledge, as I'd done my research on the e3.
Poor sales people like this do the Tag Heuer brand no favours.. he wouldn't get anywhere near one of my sales teams that's for certain.

"Biggest piece of junk I have ever…"
Biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. It's more fragile than a piece of crystal. Their great customer care team in the USA will find the smallest scratch on the watch or band and tell you it was customer abuse that caused any damage they find. Do your self a favor and look at something else or you will be on the phone with Galen (The service rep at LVMH watch and Jewelry) having him blow smoke up your behind.

"I have to leave a star!"
I have purchased many watches from Tag but i can guarantee based on my experience with the Chelmsford Branch I certainly will not purchase another. I sent a watch away for service at the start of September 2022. Paid £480 for the privilege and was advised of the 12 week lead time as it was sent away to be prepared by an expert! 12 weeks later the watch came back and 1 drove the 15 minutes to collect it. Was asked if i wanted to check it and I was in a rush so replied no. Drove home put the watch on and the day changed at midnight as expected but the date change at 4.20. Phoned the store immediately and was advised to return it and it would be repaired free of charge under warranty! Watch returned and another month passes before it is returned to Chelmsford branch again. As i have to travel for work I was unavailable to collect the watch so it remained in the store until a lady advised me it could be sent via DHL. I agreed. Provided the necessary details and was advised of a 2 day delivery. A week later still no watch so I spoke to the Chelmsford store again and a lady advised that someone would call me back....... Surprise surprise nobody did. Chased again today to speak to the rudest and most arrogant individual ever. Believe his name to be Blake (but he wouldn't advise me of this when i told him I wanted to raise a compliant). Still no details received to confirm shipping. Bottom line... Lovely watches, terrible customer service, terrible service staff. Buy another brand that values your custom

"Tag Heuer service not matching the brand and premium paid."
I bought a Formula One Qrtz Chrono Black Dial Nylon Bracelet at Tag Heuer Boutique V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. I showed the lady Assistant that attended to me that the nylon bracelet was a bit short for my wrist. She had no solution and I wanted to try it first. On 28/12/22 I went back to the store and again showed the same lady the issue (see attached pic). The lady was not friendly, she told me 2 wait until 3/1/23 for a call, also that I'm not her client.

Desired outcome: I would like to have a properly fitting wrist band or the watch replaced with another one with a properly fitting Nylon band on my wrist.

"Quality lacking in parts and service"
I purchased an Aquaracer Night Diver in 2022. It has never kept accurate time but I chose to live with a few minutes discrepancy. The clasp on the band is now scratching and it shows silver/white which is unsightly and illustrative of a cheap clasp on a relatively expensive watch. Customer service says their warranty wont cover it and I am on my own to buy a new band/clasp. TAG wants to be an upscale brand but it needs to address quality and after-market service if it ever plans to get there.

"Wow what garbage watch and garbage service...."
Wow, I wish I saw this page before I bought my garbage Tag watch. $6000.00 for a Carerra and in less than 2 years it needed a complete rebuild for $700.00. I am still waiting for the watch to return after 4 months!!!!! This was my first Tag and will definitely be my only TAG. BTW I have Rolex, Cartier, Breitling and Omega, and not one watch has ever, ever had an issue.

"Absolutely garbage warranty"
Absolutely garbage customer service and warranty. Had a bezel come off while swimming, which in turn had water get inside the watch. They wanted another $1k for a repair even though it was 10 months old. Customer service basically told me to F off after multiple unreturned calls and messages. Buy an omega or Rolex instead.
